Therapeutic Riding Exercise And Treatment Program (TREAT)
We want to give students the opportunity to learn and
work with our horses. You will get to know a horse's personality
and how to care for the horse (using the Perelli method). You
will physically and mentally experience the joy of your life. As
your knowledge expands, so will your emotional bond with these
wonderful creatures, giving both of you a satisfying and
memorable experience.
Therapeutic riding augments conventional therapy that results in
markedly improved results in physical and speech parameters, as
well as in increased motivation. We're bringing families closer
together everyday.
MISSION: To offer a
collaborative, comprehensive therapeutic riding program focusing
on the treatment needs of children/adults from ages 7 to 97 with
or without disabilities.
GOAL: To help those who
participate to gain confidence and develop strength through
individualized training and exercise programs.
CERTIFICATIONS: We are one
of the few ranches in the United States that will offer the
skills necessary to work in the field of Therapeutic Riding. We
are in the process of being certified with the North American
Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) and the
Therapeutic Riding Association of America (TRAA)
WE ANTICIPATE OPENING OUR THERAPEUTIC
RIDING IN 2009/10
